ABOUT THE MAKE MUSIC ALLIANCE Make Music Day (also known as the “Fête de la Musique”) is a free celebration of music on June 21st, held on the same day in more than 2,000 cities around the world. Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music Day is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. Now, with opportunities to expand even further, the Alliance seeks a Managing Director to work directly alongside the Founder/Executive Director to take the organization to the next level, and grow Make Music Day into a musical holiday across the US. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.An entrepreneurial spirit, eager to take the initiative and to share additional responsibilities, big and small, as part of a small nonprofit teamA passionate commitment to music, with a desire to help people bring music-making of all kinds into their livesPrior personal experience with Make Music Day in the US is a plus This hybrid position, based out of our office at 495 Flatbush Ave in Brooklyn NY, works Monday through Friday, 10am – 6pm, with the ability to work from home 2x/week.
