Job Description: Assist band director in drill sessions and musical rehearsals. Teach fundamentals of marching and drill movement, teach visual effects, place students onto field, assist in sectional instruction, help train section and squad leaders in drill reading skills, collaborate with other members of the band staff to achieve maximum educational and artistic expectations for visual and musical effect. This person will be a drill instructor for fundamentals and fine details of drill and visual effect. This person will also have the additional duties of remaining with the band director until all students have departed safely from all practices and performances, ensuring the proper set-up and tear-down of the practice field.
