About the Job As an Army Bandperson, you will be part of a professional ensemble performing in various settings. Responsibilities • • Perform as a musician in different ensembles, including ceremonial bands, concert bands, and jazz groups.• Rehearse and perfect musical performances to showcase exceptional talent.• Collaborate with other musicians to create engaging and memorable shows. To succeed in this role, you should have: • • Excellent music performance skills, particularly on instruments like tuba, trombone, euphonium, bassoon, electric bass guitar, saxophone, flute or piccolo, oboe, clarinet, French horn, percussion, cornet or trumpet, guitar, and keyboard.• Strong knowledge of music theory and harmony.• Ability to transpose moderately easy music and tune an instrument to a given pitch.• Private instrumental instruction and sight singing skills are also highly valued.
