Museum Liason

Basic Duties: Selling Museum Gift Shop Merchandise, Ticket Sales, Welcoming Visitors, giving group tours. This position will also have optional cross-over duties for Events primarily held in the evenings.

Specific Job Duties: Establish a working relationship with all museum staff to support the museum's objectives, perform daily activities assigned by management, uphold an excellent level of customer service, and bring positive recognition of the museum through professionalism, enthusiasm, positive attitude, and effective communication, represent core values of the museum, emphasizing positive work environment that is fun and unique, greet and assist customers including thanking them for visiting, learn and disseminate information regarding the museum exhibits with accuracy and enthusiasm, conduct admissions, ticketing and retail sales transactions, perform opening and closing procedures, maintain clean and organized spaces, restocking inventory, prepare and mail online store orders

Preferred Qualifications: Strong customer service skills, outgoing and friendly, knowledge of music, music history and musical instruments, cash register experience, computer literacy

Conditions of Employment: Punctual and reliable, must be able to work flexible schedule including Saturdays and some holidays, standing required for most of work shift, must pass background check

Schedule: 5 days per week including Saturdays from 9:30am - 5:30pm
