Music Accompanist

We are seeking a talented and reliable Music Accompanist who plays the piano or keyboard at each church service on Sunday mornings and other special worship services. Duties • Provide accompaniment at worship services to include prelude, liturgy, hymns, choir accompaniment, postlude and special music as prearranged. • Provide accompaniment for Chancel Choir rehearsals and special performances. • Provide accompaniment for Blended worship rehearsals, as determined by the Music Director • Provide accompaniment for rehearsals and services for soloists and ensembles (vocal and instrumental) • Coordinate substitute pianist for requested time off with approval of Music Director and Pastor • Attend and participate in meetings of the Worship Team as directed by the Music Director. • Self-motivated with appropriate preparation for rehearsals and worship • Good communication skills • Knowledge of Lutheran Liturgies helpful and ability to pick appropriate repertoire for worship.
