Music Department Chair: Chicago Academy for the Arts Students at The Academy are characterized by an extraordinary sense of purpose and community. The Music Department Chair at The Academy is responsible for the overall supervision and management of the department’s curriculum, students, faculty, class schedule, performance calendar, classroom and performance space, and equipment. The Music Department Chair will work closely with the Head of School and the Assistant Principal to articulate a vision for the department that immerses students into a standard-bearing curriculum, results in best-in-class artmaking, and prepares students to both function within — and innovate beyond — today’s professional music world.
