Start Date: to be negotiated with successful candidate, between May 1st and June 15th To that end pay levels for this position equate to the recommended Music Director pay range in the UUA Guidelines. -Rehearses and conducts choir at worship services on 21 Sundays per year, with weekly evening rehearsals; provides leadership for annual choir retreat -Recruits, schedules, and coaches featured musicians and song leaders to present music in Sunday morning worship services -Oversees coordination of music for special services -Oversees submission and confirms accuracy of all music information for publication -Oversees maintenance of the music library -Oversees the care and maintenance of musical instruments -Schedules, confirms, and manages remuneration for accompanists and hired musicians -Meets regularly with minister, accompanists, and staff for communication and coordination -Oversees and submits all music-related budget requests -Manages the music budget and Music Reserve Funds, collaborating with music committee where appropriate -Provides guidance to music committee chair -Meets regularly with music committee -Consults with minister, worship associates, accompanists, featured musicians, and song leaders to select appropriate music for worship -Provides vocals or instrumental music at worship services three Sundays per year -Provides music for special services up to six times per year -Accepts right of first refusal for special services outside of contractual obligations To that end pay levels for this position equate to the recommended Music Director pay range in the UUA Guidelines.
