Music Director

WWOZ 90.7 FM seeks an enthusiastic and energetic team player to serve as Music Director for one of the world's most vibrant public community radio/multimedia organizations. Responsible for all music assets within the organization; supervision of volunteers working with our music library; management of live audio and video recordings; communication with musicians, record labels, performance venues, and industry publications; booking and production of live broadcasts from festivals, pledge drives, and other events; involvement with many special projects, including production of live remote broadcasts from festivals and elsewhere; and working with WWOZ's many show hosts to help them bring the music of New Orleans to the city and the world. Must be able to work well in a high energy, creative, casual (but professional) environment with a constant stream of WWOZ show hosts, talented musicians, culture bearers, volunteers, and staff.
