The Interim Director of Music (DM) is an integral person in the worship and community life of St. George’s Parish. · The DM is responsible for the music of St. George’s Parish, directing the choir and providing organ/piano music at all Sunday liturgies, and major holy day liturgies. · The DM will report to the Rector/Priest-in-Charge the condition and needs for the maintenance of the organ and piano. · Ability to teach unfamiliar music to choir and congregation; willingness to be innovative in musical selections while remaining rooted in traditional Protestant music. As necessary, the Director of Music will identify and coordinate musicians for weddings, funerals, and Sunday worship.
