The Music Director will work directly with Syracuse Stage’s Education Director, Lead Teaching Arist, and a small team of college level teaching artists and part time artists to facilitate age-appropriate arts programs in musical theatre, acting, dance, design, and more. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Music Director with advanced piano accompaniment skills who is confident in leading arts and performing-arts themed curriculum, teaching music, developing material for performance, managing a classroom of children, and creating a supportive and fun environment where young people can explore, connect, and grow. Leadership skills and the ability to positively motivate groups of students to work towards a common goal.
