The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and directing the music program at Newport Presbyterian Church. • Lead music for worship services, including Sundays and special events • Collaborate with Head of Staff and other church leaders in planning music for services • Recruit, train, and support musicians and volunteers involved in the music program • Manage music budget and resources effectively • Engage the congregation through music and encourage participation Familiarity with Christian worship music and experience working in a church setting is an asset. A degree in music or a related field is preferred but not required. This part-time position (20-40 hours per week) requires flexibility to accommodate agreed-upon skills and tasks.
