Music Director

Job Summary The Director of Music, in partnership with the pastor, the worship committee, and church volunteers, is responsible for implementing, overseeing, and conducting the music ministry at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, including the adult choir, the handbell choir, and the children’s choir. The Director of Music reports to and is supervised by the pastor and is accountable to the Session through the pastor. Duties • Working collaboratively with the pastor, church staff, and the Worship Committee to provide music that complements and informs the theme and purpose of individual worship services and events and is consistent with Grace Covenant’s worship theology and overall vision. • Providing music for special occasions, as needed, in cooperation with the pastor and the Worship Committee. Resources for the music director include a Yamaha baby grand piano in the sanctuary, an electric piano in the choir room, a small music library, and the current PC(USA) Glory to God hymnal.
