Reporting to the Pastor, the Director of Sacred Music will cultivate a worship experience that draws parishioners into the beauty and mystery of Christ through the Church's rich musical heritage. Key Responsibilities • Liturgical Music Leadership: Select and direct music for weekend Masses, school liturgies, funerals, weddings, and other sacramental celebrations, prioritizing sacred music within the Church's tradition to enhance reverence. • Collaboration: Work with families, couples, and school staff to plan liturgies that reflect the parish's orientation towards reverence, ensuring music deepens the spiritual experience. • Musical Skill: Exceptional proficiency in organ, piano, and vocal talents, with experience in traditional liturgical repertoire, as well as fluency and capacity for contemporary liturgical music. • Leadership: Proven ability to inspire and lead choirs and instrumentalists, fostering a reverent and beautiful music ministry.
