DescriptionWhere you fit in The Music Director plays a key role in shaping the worship experience at The Crossing, helping bring each weekend and ministry gathering to life through preparation, musical excellence, and intentional execution. This role is both creative and operational, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of music, systems, and ministry. What you’ll be doingWorship Arts Leadership Provide musical leadership for weekend worship services, creating engaging and meaningful environments through strong musicianship, thoughtful arrangements, and effective use of tracks and programming Build and maintain Ableton sessions for upcoming worship plans, ensuring all elements are prepared and aligned in advance Program keyboard patches and/or musical elements to support each worship environment Serve as an instrumentalist and, when needed, a music director—guiding musicians through arrangements, transitions, and dynamics Lead and facilitate rehearsals with clarity and preparation, helping teams feel confident, unified, and ready to lead Partner closely with Worship Staff and leaders to ensure music direction aligns with the overall pastoral and spiritual direction of each service Support worship for special events and services as needed Help maintain and elevate the musical standard and sound across The Crossing’s worship environments Team Collaboration Collaborate cross-functionally with ministry departments to support weekend programming and worship environments Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to overall ministry alignment Benefits are determined by the position you are hired for.
