Position Type: Full-Time (Includes Benefits) Key Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and execute all music for weekend Masses, holy days, sacramental celebrations, and special liturgies in accordance with Catholic liturgical norms.Collaborate closely with clergy and liturgy staff in seasonal and long-term liturgical planning.Direct and develop parish choirs (adult, youth, and/or children’s choirs as applicable) Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer and paid musicians and cantors.Serve as principal musician, providing accompaniment on piano and organ.Select appropriate liturgical music that reflects the traditions and teachings of the Catholic Church.Coordinate instrumentalists and vocalists for major feasts and celebrations (e.g., Christmas, Easter, Processions) Sacramental & Event Coordination.Plan and coordinate music for funerals, weddings, and other sacramental celebrations in collaboration with clergy and parish staff.Meet with families and couples to assist in selecting appropriate liturgical music for funerals and weddings.Provide or arrange musicians and cantors for these services Ensure all music selections adhere to Catholic liturgical guidelines.Support music planning for special parish events and devotional services as needed.Maintain and oversee music library, instruments (i.e. Practicing Catholic in good standing with a strong understanding of Catholic liturgy and music traditionsSeveral years of experience in music direction, preferably within a Catholic parish settingProficiency in piano and organ performanceStrong vocal ability and experience leading congregational singingDemonstrated experience directing choirs and ensemblesKnowledge of liturgical planning and familiarity with Church documents related to sacred musicAbility to work collaboratively with clergy, staff, and volunteersFlexibility to be available during normal business hoursExcellent organizational, communication, and leadership skillsAppropriate liturgical behavior during massesVirtus CertifiedResponsible for other duties as requested or assigned Preferred SkillsExperience with a wide range of sacred music styles (traditional, contemporary, choral)Ability to arrange or adapt music for various ensemblesFamiliarity with sound systems and basic audio technologyCompensation & Benefits: Full-time Salaried positionStipends for funerals, weddings and other special eventsBenefits package includes health insurance, paid time off, and retirement options (details provided upon hiring)Salary Range $40,000 - $65,000How to Apply:
