Music Director -Choral

This position is dedicated to fostering a deep appreciation for African American culture and heritage through music, particularly through the performance of traditional African American spirituals and contemporary choral compositions. The Music Director will be responsible for conducting weekly rehearsals, programming music for concerts, and facilitating the growth and development of chorale members as musicians. In addition to musical responsibilities, the Music Director will contribute to the chorale's library and assist in the recruitment of diverse members. Proficiency in current technology and excellent communication skills are also required to effectively engage with chorale members and the broader community. , • Interest in, respect for, and commitment to the performance and preservation of African American choral music with emphasis on Negro Spirituals.
