Music is a central part of our shared spiritual journey together, and we are looking for a musical leader who will bring their skill, energy, and creativity to the position. General responsibilities include overseeing the music program in consultation with the Minister, weekly choral rehearsals and direction for two Sunday services per month, as well as additional music including children, small groups, and alternative special music on weeks the choir is not performing. UUFCO is incredibly excited for this moment in our history to begin a relationship with a leader who has a passion for music and shares our Unitarian Universalist values. \\- Plans and leads rehearsals and performances for the choir weekly from mid- August through mid-June \\- Coordinates with Minister in selection of choir music \\- Balances the choir experience for skilled musicians as well as those newer to choir \\- Leads the choir gatherings in a way that is inclusive, enjoyable, and compelling \\- Maintains and expands UUFCO choral music collection ordering new music as appropriate Collaborates with the Minister on music in the worship services. \\- Partners with the Minister to provide thematically driven worship services \\- Brings creativity and ideas gathered from other musicians, members, and outside sources ideas \\- Works together with the minister to enable a full music program that reaches the different populations in our congregation Facilitates the ongoing music life of the congregation \\- Explores musical possibilities for varied musical experiences and brings them to life with the congregation.
