Job Summary Independence First UMC is seeking a talented Music Director to lead our music program, inspire musicians, and enhance the overall musical experience for our organization. Duties - Lead and direct Sunday Worship and choir rehearsals, and concerts - Select appropriate music pieces for various events and performances - Provide guidance and mentorship to musicians to enhance their skills - Collaborate with the pastor and staff to ensure a cohesive teamwork - Communicate effectively with musicians, staff, and church members Experience - Proven experience as a Music Director or similar role - Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate musicians - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - Ability to educate and mentor musicians effectively - Knowledge of a wide range of musical genres and styles • A heart for worship and a commitment to the mission of the church.
