Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum covering theory, history, and performance Encourage students to explore various instruments, musical genres, and modes of expression Organize and conduct school concerts, recitals, and musical events Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate music across the broader school curriculum Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and participation Create and maintain an organized, engaging, and supportive classroom environment Daily schedule of 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Will provide music education classes during the academic day (9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.) and offer semi-private, private, and group music lessons through the after-school program (3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.). What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field from an accredited institution Music teaching certification preferred Prior teaching experience, especially in a school setting, preferred Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and performance Ability to pass state and federal background checks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A passion for teaching and supporting student development through the arts To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
