Music Industry Assistant (Part-Time)

Job Overview

Professional musician and bandleader based in Central Florida, actively performing and building a growing brand. Looking for a sharp, proactive, and reliable assistant to help manage the business side of my career so the focus can be on performing and expanding.

This is not a typical office role.

You’ll be working directly alongside a working artist in a fast-moving environment where communication, organization, and follow-through matter. If you’re someone who moves quickly, thinks ahead, and takes ownership—this is a strong opportunity to gain real experience in the music industry.

Responsibilities
• Manage incoming gig inquiries (email, text, DM)
• Respond quickly and professionally to clients and venues
• Send quotes, confirmations, and invoices
• Maintain and update calendar (gigs, rehearsals, travel)
• Follow up with clients and venues (critical for bookings)
• Track gigs, payments, and client communication
• Assist with light social media coordination (posting, captions, organization)
• Help streamline day-to-day operations and keep everything running smoothly

• Fast response time and sense of urgency
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Able to manage multiple tasks without dropping the ball
• Problem solver—doesn’t wait to be told everything
• Interest in music / live events is a PLUS
• Based in Orlando is a PLUS (not required)

Compensation
• Part-time (10–15 hours/week)
• $18–$25/hour (based on experience)
• Performance-based bonuses tied to bookings and growth
