Music Instructor

Music Instructor | Northwest Cary Pay: $28 to $35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications We're looking for friendly, reliable musicians to join our team as Piano, Voice, Guitar, and/or Violin Teachers at our new location in Northwest Cary, near the Amberly area. If you enjoy helping children and adults discover a love of music, we'd love to hear from you. Because we teach students of different ages and skill levels, we encourage both experienced teachers and those who are newer to teaching to apply. Responsibilities - Teach engaging lessons for students of different ages and skill levels. - Communicate regularly with parents about student progress. - Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and RCM assessments when applicable. - Keep lesson spaces clean and tidy. Qualifications - At least two years of experience playing your primary instrument. - Strong music reading and theory skills. - Patient, dependable, and comfortable working with children. - Good communication skills with students and parents. - Consistent availability for one or more weekday teaching blocks between 3:30-8:30 p.m. Additional Experience We Value The following are not required, but may be considered when determining responsibilities and compensation: - A music degree or other formal music training. - Experience teaching advanced students or preparing students for RCM assessments, auditions, competitions, or performances. - Ability to teach more than one instrument.
