About the Role:School of Rock in West Des Moines, IA is looking for a passionate and talented Drum Instructor to inspire the next generation of musicians! Responsibilities:Provide engaging one-on-one drum lessons to students of varying ages and skill levelsDevelop personalized lesson plans aligned with School of Rock's proven music curriculumPrepare students for live performances and seasonal showsTrack student progress and communicate updates with parents and staffCollaborate with other instructors and music directors to support ensemble rehearsalsFoster a positive, encouraging, and energetic learning environmentMaintain and monitor proper use of drum equipment and studio spaceRequirements:Proficient drummer with strong knowledge of various genres including rock, pop, and bluesPrior teaching, gigging experience in a band, and/or music instruction experience preferredAbility to connect with and motivate children, teens, and adult learnersStrong communication and interpersonal skillsReliable, punctual, and professional demeanorPassion for music education and performanceAbility to read music or strong familiarity with rhythm notation is a plusAbout Us:School of Rock has been revolutionizing music education since 1998 with a performance-based approach that gets students on stage and playing real music fast.
