Music Instructor - Multi-Instrumentalist (Part-time)

With over 350 schools and a strong internationally recognized brand, School of Rock is the largest after-school music education provider in the world. This position will begin as a substitute instructor role, covering lessons and rehearsals as needed. Music Instruction • Maximize the quality of music instruction through private lessons and show rehearsals • Ensure students are learning the fundamentals of music, not just songs, using the School of Rock Method™ • Create and document thoughtful lesson plans using our patented teaching Method, Books and Method App • Lead and assist in group programs including rehearsals and youth programs such as Rookies and Rock 101 • Be comfortable managing small groups of students in rehearsal-style learning environments Customer Connection • Communicate with parents on the progress of students by creating quality lesson notes and assignments in the School of Rock Method App for at-home practice • Interact with parents and students regularly by being visible and accessible while at the school • Pitch in during canceled lessons in the overall execution of the program • Assist in rehearsals and with the upkeep of lesson facilities and school spaces It is the policy of the School of Rock to provide equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
