Responsibilities: - Select and arrange musical pieces for performances, taking into... consideration the preferences and abilities of the performers - Conduct rehearsals, providing guidance and feedback to musicians to enhance their skills and performance - Collaborate with other artistic staff, such as choreographers or stage directors, to create cohesive and engaging productions - Lead performances, ensuring synchronization and harmony among all musicians - Serve as a mentor and educator to musicians, fostering their growth and development - Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to promote our musical programs - Stay updated on current trends in music and incorporate innovative ideas into our performances - Manage administrative tasks related to music programming, such as budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating rehearsals Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field (Master's degree preferred) - Proven experience as a Music Director or similar role - Strong knowledge of music theory, composition, and arrangement - Proficiency in conducting various musical genres - Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate musicians - Effective communication skills to collaborate with artists, staff, and stakeholders - Ability to educate and mentor musicians of varying skill levels - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously If you are a dynamic individual with a passion for music and the ability to lead and inspire others, we would love to hear from you.
