Music Leader and Keyboardist

Part-Time Position

Overview

Unity of Lehigh Valley is seeking a Music Leader and Keyboardist who is passionate about using music to inspire spiritual connection, uplift consciousness, and support the message of Unity teachings.

This role helps create a meaningful and engaging musical experience that encourages participation, reflection, and spiritual growth. The Music Leader works collaboratively with the minister and service team to support the overall flow and intention of the Sunday service and special events.

Responsibilities

Provide keyboard accompaniment and lead the music portion of Sunday services.Select and coordinate music that supports the theme and message of each service.Help create an inspiring and welcoming musical atmosphere that encourages congregational participation.Communicate effectively with musicians, vocalists, volunteers, and church leadership to ensure a cohesive service experience.Mentor and support volunteer musicians and singers, encouraging their growth and confidence.Organize and lead rehearsals so the music team is prepared and aligned.Collaborate with the minister and service team to plan music for special services, holidays, and events.Introduce music in a way that helps the congregation connect with its spiritual message.Remain open to a variety of musical styles that resonate with Unity’s inclusive and uplifting message.Qualifications

Experience leading music in a church, spiritual community, or similar setting.Strong keyboard/piano skills and vocal ability.Ability to lead congregational singing with warmth, clarity, and confidence.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience mentoring or supporting musicians and singers is preferred.Familiarity with Unity, New Thought, or similar positive spiritual teachings is helpful.Ability to work collaboratively while also taking initiative.Flexibility and openness to the evolving needs of a spiritual community.Position Details

Pay: $200 per week
Expected Hours: 5-8 hours per week
