Music Leader - Forest Glen

Primary Purpose: The Music Leader will work closely with the Lead Pastor, Music Coordinator, and Production Coordinator to foster dynamic worship services and healthy music teams that lead our congregation to see and savor the greatness of God in Jesus Christ, by the power of the Spirit. Work with the team (Lead Pastor, Production Coordinator and Music Coordinator) to plan the music portion of weekly services at least 4 weeks in advance of each service, choosing songs that engage the congregation and support the reading and preaching of God’s Word. Have a deep, growing love for the Lord Professional representation of Park Community Church and the Lord in all things Proficiency in voice and either piano or guitar Proven ability to create, coordinate and lead a worship experience with a team At least one year of church staff experience or two years as a volunteer leader Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills Audio/visual experience in live production environments Experience in leading in a multi-ethnic context While the Music Leader is not expected to play or lead every week, they will be directly involved in the selection of music and the overall flow of service in conjunction with the Lead Pastor and Music Coordinator. Lives a life consistent with qualities laid out in 1 Timothy 3 To be in a small group and have an accountability partner To be intentionally fostering a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through time in the Bible, prayer, and Christian community To become a member of Park and to abide by the by-laws indicated in our membership book To reflect Christ in your words and actions in your personal life and ministry.
