The Music Minister reports to the Pastor and maintains responsibility for enabling parishioners to encounter Jesus Christ through music within the liturgical celebrations and worship experiences of the Parish. The Music Minister is tasked with ensuring that the liturgical music assists all believers to express the gift of faith that is within them and to bring a spirit of unity through music into the celebration. • Serves as a resource to help others understand the role of music in worship and to celebrate liturgies of high musical quality. • Proficient in Catholic liturgical principles; thorough understanding of the musical, liturgical, and pastoral judgements which must be made in selecting liturgical music.
