Music Teacher

• Engage with international students and staff, contributing to a lively and supportive community creating a unique and rewarding work environment Key Duties • Understand and uphold the Exsportise music programme expectations, ensuring all teaching, processes, and paperwork meet company standards consistently • Prepare and maintain detailed, progressive session plans; provide these for review when requested by the Centre Manager • Deliver tailored, engaging sessions aligned with the agreed teaching plan, adapting to the students' needs and goals • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes creativity, teamwork, and individual expression • Provide focused teaching to groups, offering individual attention where needed; sessions may be held in mornings, afternoons, or both • Liaise with dance staff regarding joint performances • Maintain responsibility for student safety, welfare, and behaviour during music activities, including discipline • Ensure clear, appropriately paced delivery in English to support language learning outside the classroom, seeking guidance from the Director of Studies and EFL staff as needed • Lead, support, and mentor Music Assistants, ensuring high-quality teaching delivery • Organise and manage end-of-week student performances (Friday evenings) and recordings • Regularly review risk assessments and conduct sessions safely for all participants • Manage music equipment maintenance, storage, and conduct end-of-camp inventory checks • Coordinate instrument hire request with Head Office in advance of student course starts • Address queries from students, parents, and agents calmly and efficiently • Ensure timely production of weekly written reports for each student and conduct end-of-week award presentations • Adhere to guidelines outlined in the Staff Handbook and directives provided by the Centre Manager • Assist with camp setup and pack-down, ensuring all equipment, resources, and facilities are prepared at the start and secured after the camp • Undertake any additional reasonable duties Real development opportunities within the company (performance-based promotions available within the summer) Develop leadership and communication skills
