Position Status: Open Now Position Purpose Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the Elementary Music Teacher facilitates student growth in musical knowledge, performance skills, creativity, and interpersonal development by implementing district-approved music curriculum; documenting student progress and performance; addressing the diverse learning needs of students; creating a flexible, safe, and engaging learning environment; and providing ongoing feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals. • Designs and implements lesson plans that include vocal music, rhythm, movement, music theory, listening skills, and performance, maximizing effective use of instructional time. • Integrates music across content areas when appropriate and supports schoolwide events, performances, and programs.
