Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Music Teacher at our Port Jefferson Station, NY location. Looking for tecahers of piano and voice, as well as violin to tecah private one-on-one lessons with stduents. Key responsibilities include designing lesson plans tailored to individual needs, teaching fundamental music theory, guiding students in performance techniques, and inspiring a love for music. The role may also involve preparing students for recitals, assessments, and other performance opportunities, while maintaining open communication with students and their families.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Music Theory and Music EducationStrong skills in Music PerformanceAbility to design and implement structured lessons for students with varying levels of experienceEffective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and their familiesPassion for music and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoringPrior teaching experience or certifications are an advantageBachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field is preferred
