At Mason Music, we believe music lessons should be inspiring, relationship-driven, and genuinely fun. We are currently hiring part-time music teachers in the Birmingham area for piano, voice, guitar, and drum instruction across our six studio locations. Pay & Schedule
Starting at $26.50/hour
Higher starting rates available based on education & experience
Part‑time, hourly W‑2 position
Consistent weekly teaching schedule
Afternoon/evening availability preferred
Opportunities for additional administrative, event and performance‑based work also available
What You’ll Do
Teach fun, engaging private music lessons to students of all ages and experience levels
Build positive, mentor‑style relationships with students and families
Help students grow in confidence, creativity, discipline, and musicianship
Create lesson plans tailored to each student’s goals and interests
Track student progress and communicate effectively with parents
Prepare students for recitals
Collaborate with an encouraging and supportive administrative team
What We’re Looking For
Strong musicians with proficiency in piano, voice, guitar, and/or drums
Excellent communicators who work well with both children and adults
Reliable, punctual, organized, and professional
Positive, patient, and encouraging teachers
Comfortable adapting lessons to different learning styles and personalities
Passionate about helping students develop a lifelong love of music
Teaching experience is preferred, but we are open to candidates without direct experience who have strong musical backgrounds and natural interpersonal skills.
