The ideal candidate will inspire students through performance and collaboration, while encouraging their discovery of a love of music in support of the school’s mission and community. Candidates open to taking on a floater role within the school have the opportunity to expand this position into a full-time role. We are committed to building a strong, vibrant music program across the whole school, from our toddler community through our elementary classrooms, and this teacher will play a central role in shaping what that program becomes. Plan and teach engaging, developmentally appropriate music lessons for elementary students in grades 1–6 (10 hours/week, the core of this role), within our mixed-age Montessori classrooms. Collaborate with classroom teachers and school leadership to integrate music meaningfully into the broader school experience.
