Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide private and group lessons in our retail store. You’ll teach beginner to intermediate students on band, orchestral, or popular instruments, creating engaging lesson plans that build skills, confidence, and musical literacy. Partner with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and recitals, and maintain accurate schedules and progress notes. Ideal candidates have teaching or tutoring experience, strong musicianship, and a student‑focused, collaborative approach that supports our mission of expanding access to music education in the community. Provide individual and group music lessons to beginner and intermediate students Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet diverse student goals and skill levels Assess student progress and communicate regularly with students and parents Prepare students for recitals, performances, and school ensemble participation Coordinate schedules, attendance, and student records accurately Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, sales, and lesson enrollment Maintain a positive, inclusive, student-focused classroom environment Recommend instruments, accessories, and materials that support learning Uphold company policies and safety standards within the lesson studio Participate in local events and outreach that promote music education Music instruction Lesson planning Classroom management Student assessment Instrument proficiency Music theory knowledge Parent communication Scheduling and time management Basic retail and point-of-sale awareness Recital and event preparation Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Degree in Music Education, Performance, or related field preferred Prior private or classroom teaching experience Proficiency on primary teaching instrument(s) Background check clearance State teaching credential or equivalent experience preferred
