Music Teacher (Band Director) Position Purpose: Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students' understanding, appreciation of the art of music, including listening to a wide range of musical genres, periods, and styles. Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research. Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students. Ability to organize and coordinate work. Certification/License: Applicants must have a current Utah teaching license or have the ability to obtain a current Utah teaching license outlined by the guidelines of the Utah State Board of Education (USBE).
