Little Folkies is an award-winning early childhood folk music program for families with children ages 0–5. Our curriculum is featured by Smithsonian Folkways and is beloved by families for its warm, acoustic, from-the-heart approach.

We're looking for a passionate musician to join our teaching team and lead weekly classes in San Jose, CA. If you love children, play guitar confidently, and enjoy sharing the joy of folk music, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

Lead weekly 40-minute music classes for children (ages 0–5) and their caregivers.Guide families through seasonal folk songs from the Little Folkies Collection.Incorporate movement, fingerplays, dancing, and hands-on instrument exploration.Create a joyful, welcoming environment where families sing, play, and connect.What We're Looking For

Strong singing voice and confident guitar or ukulele skills.Experience working with young children preferred.Warm, reliable, and enthusiastic.Comfortable leading groups of children and caregivers.Pay & Schedule

All teachers complete the Little Folkies Teacher Training before leading classes.
