Music Teacher - Private or Group Lessons

Looking instructors to fulfill an open spot or 2 at our studio for private and group lessons. We are actively accepting applications for Instructors in Voice and Piano. Preferably one who is actively playing/gigging around the Pittsburgh area currently who has a passion for teaching!
• We are looking to hire someone to teach on a Tuesday evening, Friday evening, OR Saturday morning/evening.
• Piano - Prefer someone who has 10 years of piano experience who is actively playing OR someone with at least a Bachelor's Degree in Music.

Our studio offers lessons to ALL ages - starting as young as 4 years old for Group Piano and 5/6 years old if the student is able to learn on an instrument of appropriate size. We also have lessons for Adult students as well.

Requirements -
1. Hold a Bachelors Degree or Higher in Music OR 10+ years of musical study and can demonstrate piano pedagogy
2. Decent Piano pedagogy skills (General Music Theory, Scales, Arpeggios, Chords ... etc)
3. Passionate about training up the next generation of Musicians
4. Reliable transportation to/from studio
5. Available to teach on a Tuesday, Friday evening OR Saturday morning/afternoon (afternoon is a possibility during the week - evening hours are a must).

6. All teachers start on ONE day and can extended to more days as their students schedules increase and studio space is available

7. Ability to teach in a 1:1 setting
8. Good sense of Humor (We like Punny Folks around Here)
9. Easy going personality who is also organized
10. Punctuality and Communication is a must!
11. Able to use an internet based software on phone/computer/tablet to enter in attendance and schedule for record purposes (Opus1.io)
12. Is comfortable teaching on a Digital Piano for in person lessons at the studio (OR Online lessons via FaceTime, Google Meet Or Zoom if requested by student due to sickness or prior arrangement)

All candidates will need to obtain OR already have ALL PA teaching clearances prior to being hired and placed on the schedule to Instruct:
• Act 34 - PA Criminal History Report
• Act 151 - PA Child Abuse Clearance
• FBI Criminal History Report (Fingerprinting)

If you are unable to obtain these clearances then please do not apply for this open position - we do not allow anyone to teach without them on file at the studio.

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
