Music Therapist at West Music Davenport, IA

Our therapists provide music therapy services in accordance with the philosophy and standards of Music Therapy Clinical Practice. Facilitates music therapy services (both groups and individuals) and evaluates client’s progress towards established goals. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university in the field of music therapy, or equivalent • Current MT-BC credentials/must be MT-BC at date of hire • Proficient music skills in voice, guitar, percussion, and piano • Strong verbal, written, and receptive communication skills • Ability to make independent judgments • Practical knowledge of music theory, music improvisation, adaptive music instruction, and be self-motivated in creating new methods of incorporating music as therapeutic experience for clients • Working knowledge of computers is required including but not limited to the application of Microsoft Office Suite • Valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured as a driver of West Music vehicles While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk and hear.
