Music Video Extras ~ #Meetoo supporters

Meadowgate Media Productions Santa Barbara, California

Music Video Extras - $125

Monday, December 10, Between 11:30 am and 4:30 pm, Downtown Santa Barbara

We're making a professional music video (the proceeds from which will benefit Santa Barbara's Standing Together Against Sexual Assault (STESA) and the national Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN)) and we are looking for people to represent sexual assault survivors.

The video will feature the extra's faces emerging from a black background. You must come dressed in all black, with only your face and head visible. The video may also include video portraits of survivors (only if you are one and are willing) - a brief 3-5 second video 'still' - and would include the survivors' first name and age in text on the screen. Acting skills are NOT required.

If you are an abuse survivor, we would be honored to work with you.

Once we have made preliminary selections, we will give you the opportunity to hear the song and review the lyrics so you can evaluate your willingness and ability to perform as an extra on the project before the date.

Beverages will be available. A pizza lunch will be served.

We are looking for 10 to 15 extras. We hope to represent an approximation of current American abuse survivors - mostly young women but in a diverse culture. We need approximately:
• 8+ women, 2-5 men but we can be 'fluid.'
• 5 or more individuals of color, 2 to 5 should be White
• Most extras under the age of 30, but we do need 2 or more aged 50+.
• LGBTQ and individuals with physical disabilities are welcome to apply

If you qualify and are interested, please send:
A current, brief, selfie style video of yourself with your name, contact information and why you want to be in the video. If you are willing to state your survivor status, please do so. The video should be be less than 1 minute long and can be just your head and shoulders.

Note to survivors: We fully intend for the filming to occur in a safe and supportive atmosphere. However, the song and experience may trigger memories or emotions. At this time we are not able to provide counseling or professional support services.
