Music Youth Educator

The Youth Educator must have previous experience teaching elementary and middle school students music, and be willing to use cooking utensils or everyday objects to explore sounds, build listening skills, and creativity. • Teach a variety of instruments including, but not limited to, standard music instruments but utilized homemade instruments, including household objects like washboards and jugs • Provide individual and group instruction to students of varying skill levels • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve • Collaborate with other music teachers and school administrators to develop music programs • Encourage students to participate in musical performances and events • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in instrumental music ed • Monitors and documents student activities for the final class report • Experience playing drums, guitar, or piano ● Should possess knowledge of music education ● Must be able to work in harmony with the fine and performing arts faculty, building a comprehensive and detailed curriculum to serve the needs of students and the community ● Ability to collect and analyze data to assess student achievement
