• *About Academie Lafayette** • *Job Summary** We are seeking a highly qualified Music Education Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have the ability to engage students in motivating and stimulating lessons, prepare them for various performances, and encourage an inclusive classroom environment that values diversity and promotes global understanding. • Teach choir, keyboarding, and music technology courses • Plan and execute concerts, plays, and other events featuring music • Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect knowledge of the curriculum, child development, and student abilities • Encourage students to think critically and creatively, and to appreciate different perspectives and backgrounds • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators, and respond promptly to parent concerns • Utilize assessments and student data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes • Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment, and communicate clear expectations and procedures to students • Continuously update knowledge of content area through professional development opportunities • Engage in goal setting and review process with assigned administrator • *Requirements**
