Musical Director

Launched in 2021, it is the only company of its kind in Northeast Ohio. This is an on-site contract role for a Musical Director for BOOM Theater's production of Fiddler on The Roof, based in Akron, OH with the show running the first three weekends in May of 2026. The Musical Director will be responsible for overseeing and directing musical performances, teaching and educating musicians and singers, and leading music rehearsals. The Musical Director will collaborate closely with other creative and technical teams to make each performance memorable and impactful. • Proficiency in Music Production, including organizing and executing rehearsals and live performances • Knowledge and experience in Church Music, or similar music-related community initiatives, are advantageous • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with a diverse team • A degree in Music or a related field is preferred • Past experience directing community or professional musical performances is considered a strong asset
