Musical Director - Afterschool theatre production

The Music Director, in tandem with the Show Director is responsible for guiding the the vocal artistic elements of a NorCal Arts Afterschool theatre production in schools involving students K-12 . Candidates’ personal values must align with the vision and values of NorCal Arts in that they are strongly committed to social change through the arts and community engagement and is reflected by their willingness to participate in training provided by NorCal staff and to contribute to the lesson plans provided. Experience in musical theater a must. The Music Director position is a non-exempt, part-time position that pays at a competitive pay rate of $55 per teaching hour, plus $16.90 per planning hour. Candidates must be open to working a flexible schedule of a minimum 2 to 4 hours a week, evenings & weekends sometimes required.
