We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Musical Director to lead and inspire our school's vibrant musical theater program. The ideal candidate will combine artistic vision with strong educational and leadership skills, creating a positive and engaging experience for students of multiple ages.
This position begins in January 2027 and concludes following four performances at the end of April 2027. The Musical Director will have the opportunity to collaborate in selecting the production and will lead approximately 55 student performers in grades 3–12.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborating in the selection of the annual musical.
Planning and conducting auditions and casting the production.
Directing rehearsals and developing students' vocal and theatrical performance skills.
Creating or overseeing choreography, blocking, and overall stage direction.
Coordinating the artistic vision for set design, costumes, and production elements in collaboration with school staff and volunteers.
Working closely with the school choir director, who will assist with vocal training.
Creating a supportive, inclusive, and encouraging environment for young performers.
Effectively leading and collaborating with parent volunteers and production team members.
The successful candidate will have experience directing youth musical productions, strong organizational and communication skills, and a passion for helping students grow in confidence, creativity, and teamwork through the performing arts.
Pay: $4,000.00 - $7,000.00 per year
