The Cluster Parishes of Portsmouth and Chesapeake are seeking a full time Pastoral Musician. The Pastoral Musician manages the music component of the liturgy for both churches including Saturday evening mass and Sunday morning masses... Duties include; planning music for parish liturgies and worship aids, assist in planning parish liturgical celebrations, assist in planning of funerals and weddings. The Pastoral Musician will coordinate with the Children and Youth Coordinators, oversee music requirements for the Children and Youth Ministries special services, recruit, train, schedule and rehearse Children’s and Youth Choirs. • Knowledge of Catholic liturgy and musical requirements, to include a variety of liturgical preferences in style.
