We use wireless/headset microphones, in-ear monitors, and instruments. If it’s a strong mutual fit, there is potential for this to grow into an ongoing role within the band. Note: We sometimes book shows a year or more in advance.What we’re looking for:Excellent bass playing, rhythm, and musicianshipStrong tenor/baritone singer with the ability to harmonize and blend wellStrong stage presence and enthusiastic about being actively physical on stageGenuine interest in (and comfort with) performing for and interacting with children and familiesFlexibility and responsiveness to feedback in real timeConfident improvising or creating a bass part when neededGood scheduling availability and reliabilityCommitted, fully present, and excited to contribute as a member of the bandClear communication about conflicts and rehearsal availabilityBand Rehearsals in NYC – 1-2 per show date (there may be extra band and/or vocal rehearsals before your first show). Shows run 75-90 minutes.
