Overview We are seeking a dedicated and talented Church Accompanist to join our team. This role is essential in enhancing the worship experience through music, providing accompaniment for various church services, events, and rehearsals. • Accompany hymns, choir, and other ensembles as needed at services • Select and prepare preludes, offertories, postludes, and other in-service music to complement the theme and liturgical season • Accompany the choir in weekly rehearsals and other ensembles as needed • Participate in weekly worship planning meetings • Play for special services including Holy Week, Christmas Eve, and other significant events • Arrange for and accompany monthly special music • Able to coach amateur musicians and collaborate with professional ones • Understand the role of music in worship, and be adaptable to various forms of worship • Possess a friendly personality conducive to building positive working relationships with clergy, Choir Director, choir members, worship leaders, and the congregation.
