The ideal Liturgical Musician is a keyboard player, a coach for vocalists and instrumentalists, and a team contributor who brings to the job musical and liturgical expertise. The Liturgical Musician is a key participant in executing the Pastor’s vision which is to provide music in a variety of styles that glorifies God, serves the needs of the liturgy, and encourages appropriate participation of the congregation. This position takes direction from the Pastoral Assistant for Liturgy who will leverage the skills and strengths of the Liturgical Musician and volunteer musicians to bring about the greatest benefit for the parish. • Collaborates with the Pastoral Leader, staff, and consultative bodies in implementing the mission of the parish. • Maintains a level of knowledge and skills required for the ministry.
