Musician - Hourly

Job Details: Job Location: 0155 St. Joseph Parish, Vancouver - Vancouver, WA 98661, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $45.00 - $50.00 Hourly, St Joseph Catholic Church is seeking a vibrant and talented musician to lead the 11:30AM Sunday Spanish Mass.  Candidate responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Directing, and coordinating the Spanish choir that leads the music for the Mass
Choosing the music sung at the Mass, in conjunction with the Pastoral Associate for Music
Providing the PA for Music with weekly music plans to use in reporting for our streaming and reprint licenses
Leading and planning a weekly rehearsal that is at least one hour in length and takes place on a weeknight separate from the Mass
Attending quarterly music leader meetings
Working collaboratively with the PA for Music and other music leaders in the planning and execution of bilingual and Parish Family Liturgies
Maintaining good condition of the church’s sound equipment and reporting issues to the PA for Music

 
Qualifications:
Practicing Catholic in good standing required
Bilingual required 
2 or more years of choir direction preferred
Ability to recruit and direct volunteer choir members 
Ability to accompany with either a piano or guitar

 

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
