The position may expand to accompany a Saturday evening 6:30 pm Spanish mass when needed. The accompanist main role is to work with the Choir Director to lead the congregation in praise of God by helping them to sing the various parts of the Mass, hymns and chant. The ideal candidate must beself-motivatedto organize and practice music for the Mass and to arrive up to 1 hour before Mass to practice with the cantor and choir. • Prior experience and familiarity with providing music in a church setting; experience in Catholic Liturgy would be a plus. Essential Qualifications: • Ability to read music, play piano proficiently (organ experience a plus).
