Position: MUSICIAN II (FIRST CHAIR FLUTE) (SR-22) [1 vacancy] OverviewContinuing the legacy of Hawaii's diverse culture through the power of music. The Royal Hawaiian Band is seeking an experienced flutist to perform on the flute and related instruments as part of a world-renowned ensemble. This role involves performing Hawaiian music as well as marches, orchestral transcriptions, pop arrangements, Broadway selections, and movie soundtracks. View details about all available benefits by visiting the provided benefits page.Education RequirementA combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in music demonstrating the ability to competently play the assigned instrument at the sixth level of difficulty. Substitution: Work experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis, provided it demonstrates the ability to play the instrument at the sixth level of difficulty. Education must be completed by the time of application; education obtained outside the United States must be comparable to a U.S. degree and may require documentation such as a foreign credential evaluation.
